What I love
Relationships: My husband's hugs and my kids' laughter; girls' nights (or better yet, girls' weekends!) with great food, wine and conversation; the joy of community — for me that means Marion, Kansas, and Country Club Christian Church.
Places and Experiences: Growing up in a small Kansas town, our cabin in the UP (Upper Peninsula, Michigan); mountain trails; Arkansas in the fall; flowering trees in the spring; candlelight service on Christmas Eve; the Flint Hills at sunset or just after an ice storm.
Food and Drink: Chips, salsa and espinaca dip, coffee from Nicaragua, dark chocolate, wine, Mexican Coca Cola
Design: Beautiful typography, the perfect shade of warm grey (PMS 7536), the perfectly round "o" in Avenir.

About Lori
Lori is a born and bred Kansan who loves the beauty of the rolling prairie of the Flint Hills and waving the wheat, cheering on her beloved Jayhawks. When not creating designs for her eclectic mix of clients, her days are filled with chasing two energetic little boys. Her idea of a good time is sleeping in tents, climbing on rocks, hiking through mountains, great conversation around camp fires and traveling to third-world countries to experience another world altogether and partner with the local people to make it a little better place to live.
After graduating from the University of Kansas with a BFA in Graphic Design,Lori started her career with a 10-year stint in the publishing business as Art Director for Kansas City Magazine, Kansas City Home Design, Dallas Home Design and Discover Utah, as well as a variety of regional publications. After getting to know the RCS team from the client side, she came to River City Studio in 2006 and was promoted to Creative Director in 2009, leading the RCS Design Team. The passion for client-centered design and a willingness to give back to the community are part of what drew her to RCS and remind her every day she’s in the right place.
