What I listen to

What I love

Pink peonies, my feet in the sand, Sunday mornings with my girls, my camera, shopping on Etsy, my favorite designer, a good square of pizza, camping on the beach, my iPhone, a stiff drink

What I read

  1. http://www.mattlogelin.com/. He is a friend of a friend and I was told about his blog a few years back when my friend was sick. I went to check it out once and got hooked. A great example of the strength of the human spirit.
  2. http://www.theonion.com/. By no means obscure, but just as I get my televised "news" from The Daily Show, I rely on The Onion for my online “news.” If you can’t laugh at yourself, then you’ve got a tough life ahead.
  3. Truth has never been so funny.
  4. Me Talk Pretty One Day. I love everything by David Sedaris, but this is my favorite. Humor is a friend of mine.

About E

Elizabeth (or E, as her friends and colleagues know her) has been in the world of project management for web development since the beginning of her career in 1998. After several jobs with now-defunct web development shops (ahh, the exciting days of "I think I'll just start a company. I like the Internet. Sure, I can program.") she landed at River City Studio as its first web project manager. E loved her time at River City and got to work with wonderful clients like the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, Starlight Theatre and many more.

In 2002, E's husband Luke got a new job in Chicago, so they left KC for new adventures up north. In Chicago, E expanded her professional horizons as well as her physical horizons and got into the world of technical writing for the financial industry. Although she and her husband enjoyed their time in Chicago, they realized they were not big city people and moved to be near E's family in St. Louis.

In St. Louis, E used her project management skills to work in marketing and traditional print media in the world of office products until she was called back to her original loves — web development and River City Studio. She has been back at River City as project manager since 2006 and happy to be home. She loves working with a team that always strives to stay ahead of the curve and clients who keep her on her toes.

When E is not working, she and Luke continue laboring on their house — a perpetual work in progress. Interior design is a big love of E's and she has been able to dabble in some design help for others as well. Another of her hobbies is photography, and she often uses her two daughters — Amelia and Eve — as her subjects. The whole family likes to travel as much as they can, and E has just started training for her first 5K.
